Pumpkin carving is one of the things that people enjoy most during Halloween. This activity is really simple to do, provided that you have the perfect tools, and a bit of patience. After you have prepared your work area, it’s time to choose whether you will be cutting the top part or the bottom part of the pumpkin for you to be able to remove the seeds inside. If you plan to put candle inside, it would be best to cut top off of the pumpkin so that it will be easier to vent the heat coming from the candle, this is probably the most traditional of methods in pumpkin carving. If you are going to put a light with a cord, it’s best to remove the bottom part of the pumpkin. It’s now time to put the design that you are going to use on your pumpkin. I would recommend that you start with the traditional pumpkin face especially if this is your first time. You can either draw your design first on a piece of paper or you can draw straight on the pumpkin, just make sure to use a washable marker so you can wash it off.  You can also find various sources online for pumpkin stencils and use their designs for a more professional look. Once you are done with your design, you can begin cutting the pumpkin using a knife or a pumpkin saw. Test your design by inserting a candle or a flashlight inside the pumpkin and turn off the lights in the room to get the full effect. These steps are simple and very easy to follow, right?
